Downwrite is a desktop Markdown editor with live preview and PDF export. Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use Downwrite.
Data We Collect
Downwrite does not collect any personal data. All of your documents, settings, and files remain on your device and are never transmitted to any server.
Third-Party Services
Downwrite uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect the following non-personal data:
- Anonymous device identifiers — a randomly generated ID used to manage purchase entitlements. This is not linked to your identity.
- Purchase history — records of in-app purchases made through the App Store, used to verify and restore your entitlements.
This data is collected solely for the purpose of processing and restoring purchases. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

Data Linked to Your Identity
No data collected by Downwrite or its third-party services is linked to your identity.
Data Sharing

All documents and application data are stored locally on your device. Downwrite does not use cloud storage, remote databases, or any form of server-side data retention.

Downwrite does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users.
